I don't really see why anyone would want to play a 4x game in VR... It's not live actioney enough.

I think, it's not a bad idea. A good PR for this feature can attract players, and developers will have more reasons to maintain the game for a long time

Only part of game that could be VRized is live combat. While it might be drool worthy, it would also be pointless.


I dont't even think anyone event tried to create vr strategy game.

Developing for VR is a tremendous undertaking, and I don't see much of an interest: VR users are few in numbers, and the type of interactions offered by VR doesn't really mesh well with the game mechanics of a 4X.

One interaction, if employed, that would surely be very cool, would be as Co-Pilot for a Hero's ship, as it warps into the fight, and then you get to fly the ship through the 3 Battle phases... That would be very Cool in VR format. LOL! :)

Even EVE: Valkyrie didn't fare too well...


(and a pity, too, because the game looked really cool!)
