So I got the game this weekend, just one more round and 24 hours later I'm still enjoying playing the game. However ever, after the very nice space battles, and possibilities to add a touch of tactics i found the ground battles a bit dry.
I know this is not a change you can do just by snapping your fingers, again it's just one of these "things" I keep wondering about.
What if the ground battles was depicted like the space battles, maybe not as detailed, however it could be displayed more or less in a 3D sector of the planet, and with a pre-determed tactic like in the space battles?
And a closing question, is it possible to setup a supply route to an army fighting in a system?
I don't think we will be able to have the same level of visualization for Ground Battles (not that we wouldn't love to!), simply because of the cost involved.

Well there is no dedicated "supply line" mechanic, but it's certainly a good idea to ferry manpower to an on-going invasion (effectively creating a supply line yourself).
