Hello, I have a problem with this important quest. I managed to destroy 4 planets, but in the rest of systems, there is one ship from enemy team, without a leader, preventing me from progressing. I have spent almost 30 turns like this. hat am I doing wrong? How can a one tiny ship block my mighty fleet? Thanks.

Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is to declare war against those empires and destroy their ships. I've gotten into situations like this before and there is no other way.

Thanks, than it is really a bad design. I will not go to war with my allies for this :-(

If you play with human players I guess it wouldn't be an issue since you can just agree on which side to join. With AI though, it seems very random. One solution could be if the AI is in alliance with a human player, they would automatically enter the side the player picks.

I don't know if it is the game design intention though, to possibly pit friend against friend and make allies of former enemies in the final countdown... Because then I could understand. But I share your sentiment, I find it hard to throw away the alliances like that too.

Not really bad design, it's intentional that a quest of this consequence should make you reconsider your allegiances. The rewards since they were updated are certainly worth it. There should perhaps be some way to coordinate your choices with AI allies, though.

You should head on over to the Balancing: Quests, Events, Deeds thread with your feedback, Quaedam tends to check in there. Another thing I proposed were contextual treaties based on the metaplot like the crises in Stellaris, so you can form new affiliations based on those choices.

Well the main problem is that the AI does not seem to care. They have that one puny ship without a hero on each system and they are not trying to win. And my team mates just go for systems I already did and sit there...

So post this in the thread Aitarus suggested, I'm sure they will have a look at it.

Try using mercenary ships. Build a mighty fleet, sell it on the market, buy it back, turn into privateers. Then you can attack even allied ships.
