Checking it out and already reported a bug ;)

Looks like someone forgot to give a release date for the DLC and the pre release became an official release date.

In multiplayer, if host has a DLC, all players in that session can use it. In single player you have to purchase it to be able to use it. Basically, it's a part of the base game that gets activated. Both race and additional features are part of the DLC content and can be activated and deactivated.

Been playing around and these guys are way stronger than they've ever been, can colonize tons of systems very quickly with no drawbacks. Crazy potential.

Damn it - too late. Had preordered it and was eager to test them today after work. Now I am at home and the update already applied itself... no Vaulters for me this weekend, I guess... sad.

Quick Update on that: Do not download the newest Patch that was deployed on Steam right now, it will disable the DLC again (saved games still work though). So better put your Steam into offline mode until the 25th.

So yeah they are playable already if you "preordered" the DLC.

Can confirm, I'm able to play as the Vaulters at this moment. I did end up buying the DLC anyways though.

Well, I had to buy it, it wasn't free. So for me, it checks if you have the DLC.

I guess the bug is, that it was supposed to be a pre-purchase that activates at 25th january.

Yeah they shipped the dlc with the recent patch and seem to forgot the part where it checks if you actually have it in your dlc libary.

Yeah, it smeems to have happen with all the pics that have been shown on the discord group.
