I'm currently doing a lore idea write-up for the Pilgrims, since I can't help but love those science-mystics and I wanted to propose to Amplitude some ideas for deepening their story. I'm currently doing some linguistic work to flesh out some unique phrases and words that set them apart from both the Imperials and the Vodyani and I wanted to figure out what their faction symbol actually represents. I thought it must be some kind of a reference to Tor or the Endless, and in my head I'm having all kinds of ideas. It resembles the Endless Legend logo, but also looks like some kind of a floating city or mothership, but it could also be an Endless ruin. It does remind me of the Academy a little bit and I had the idea that it represents a type of Endless ship, a city-sized academy that floats around planets and acts as both a university and massive research facility, gathering and disseminating knowledge (again, think Dalaran from WoW or the Academy in ES2). 

Picking this kind of symbolism for a race of obsessively curious and semi-nomadic explorers made sense to me, but I was wondering if there is an actual meaning or symbolism that is well known. It just keeps bugging me.

Oh, that's true. I think this must be it, I can't believe I didn't think of that! :D I still think I can weave in a "floating temple" reference to really push the "knowledge is our religion" angle. They are one of the few minor races with an ongoing story and motivation and it makes sense for it to be as broad and inspiring as "we need to keep discovering new knowledge till our last breath". In any case, I really wanted to double check.
