Put 1 in ARK and you won't need any other ship :P

ARK has a lot of def slots (when you sacrifice utility) so what i did:
1. 2 Improved Uniform Shielding - for 100% crit resistance. (I assume they stack)
2. 1 Extreme Graviton Shield - for shield reloading each phase.
3. 2 Extreme Impenetrable Plating - for 1 heal per damage 1 damage taken.
4. 1~3 Impregnable shielding.

And weapons depending on the enemy.

Hmm... I'll give that build a shot. Always wanted to build a battle-ark. It's a pity that you can only have one saved ark design. I've used a bit more straightforward setup on carrier hulls and 4 of them were melting any type of fleet without sustaing noticeable damage:
