I was playing Vodyani and the Unfallen destroyed an Ark in a surprise attack on one of my distant systems. By the time I got a fleet there, I realized I had enough Dust to restore the Ark. So I gave the command with the fleet orbiting the system Turns out I forgot to put it on "Guard". The instant I hit the End Turn, an Unfallen fleet rolls in, seizes my repaired Ark and high tails it for deep space before I can even react. I literally just sat there scratching my head.

I had no idea you could seize an ark like that and curse me for forgetting to hit the gurad button! The shame...

I imagine your face the moment you realize it.

The fact that it's the Unfallen of all races, makes it exquisite.

I had no idea you could steal Arks like this either. This made me laugh so hard though. WP Slashman Unfallen AI.

Yeah the Unfallen really aren't as nice as they portray...

During my last game they were clearly cool guys ! I was neighbour to them, and was very greed with a very little army. We had a tense start because we aimed for the same system, rythmed by short wars and diplomatic treaties. In the end, we ended up allies and i was very happy to be able to deal peacefully with the trees, and very surpised by they unusual peacefull behavior... 

...until they decided to unleash a galactic total war few moments after we allied...

While this was a funny story the Unfallen should not be able to steal a Vodyani Ark. Were they a custom faction by any chance ?

If not it looks like a bug... a save could help investigate the issue :)

I believe Arks were one of the ships excluded from being hijacked by pods, which makes since for multiple reasons. It'd give whoever takes it a pretty big edge and make the shipbound faction trait give Vodyani even more flaws than they already got.

That said, it's a pretty hilarious story!

hah, my last game as the Vod, i lost to economic victory,  there were 2 sperate allaiances giving me not insignificant sums of money, regularly....and this is whats weird.....i never asked or made threataning geastures to these 2 seperate 2 faction alliances...it was weird. lost to damn economic victory....again

i want to have the ability to demand trade embargoes!

Interesting thing. I went back to try to reproduce the issue from the save I had and it didn't happen again. But the first time I definitely lost an Ark. I'll see if I can find the save and send it to you.
