PSA : If your game takes ages to load since Galactic Statecraft or hangs when trying to quit

This should probably reduce your load times :

-Boot the game.

-Open your favorite file explorer and travel to My Documents\Endless Space 2\End Game Summaries or your own OS equivalent.

-(Optional) Make a backup of the "End Game Summaries" folder there.

-Delete all entries in the Hall of Fame (On the main menu, go to GAMES2GETHER then on the outer ring > Empire Chronicles).

-Open the original End Game summaries folder (not the backup one), delete any entry that might be left here. Do this while the game is launched otherwise the files in the Cloud will restore the folder everytime.

-(Optional) If your HoF never worked in the first place, deleting the folder might fix it.
-Enjoy your game booting way faster, loading/unloading mods a hell of a lot faster and your game not hanging when trying to quit.

Loading times were driving me nuts lately. Thanks for sharing this with us here! It's much appreciated!

I like the hall of fame but I like faster loading times much more.

You don't have to sacrifice the HoF, if you did the backup step, you can just put the files back in any time you want to watch your HoF (which should be rare and not worth having those loading times most of the time).

well, simply removing the files from the folder (made a backup) didn't help. I had to remove them ingame.

You have to do it with the game launched otherwise your backup in the cloud will put them back.

I did a backup of my old one, I do like keeping records of my proud wins and loses! Hopefully they manage to find a fix to it.

My Hall of Fame has always remained blank. Are you saying that if I delete my entire End Game Summaries folder (while the game is running), then close the game and copy in a backup of that folder, my Hall of Fame will be full when I next start the game? Has anyone proven this to work?
