I can't remember where I read it now, either here or on Steam forums that something about not being able to attack pirates or what not is not avaliable. Is this because of the new DLC? I was thinking of getting it to support the Devs, but if it's bugged, I don't want to get it till it's fixed. I like to make sure. Since I am learning how to play the game, I would not like any bugs since I wouldn't know if it's a bug or not. 

So should I get the new DLC or should I wait?

Really liking the game. Not what I expected. Cudos to the devs for making it. Can't wait to play more.

I haven't encountered any instances of me being unable to attack pirate fleets in the game (unless you create a non-aggression pact with them, in which they can't attack you either and it's free to cancel whenever lol), but as far as I'm concerned the DLC was worth getting. 

The Vaulters are a fresh new faction that are a ton of fun playing + the new content really diversifies the game (it's also cheaper than most game DLC's nowadays) and supporting the DEV's is always great 

The only (important) bug I encountered is, in case of using privateers (Vaulters starting tech) the AI seems to know about its owner - what shouldn't be - and gets worried about. I expect this to be fixed soon.
