I am unable to figure out how to use the pirate mark I just purchased from the pirates. How exactly do I choose my target? well, theirs, but you get the idea.

On the top left corner of the screen, after purchasing a pirate mark, you'll see a symbol that (I think) looks like a skull & bones kinda a thing (basically the pirate mark symbol) and all you have to do is click that. After clicking it, you want to click the star system that you want to place the mark on, and voila you've placed a pirate mark on that system. You cannot, however, place pirate marks on systems owned by factions who are currently in a non-aggression pact with the Pirate League.
