Since there seem to be a few more "Rank you favourite xyxyxyxy" going on, I thought we could do a pass for the music as well! Top 5 soundtracks from this beautiful game and why you like them! I'll start it off. 

5. Flawless Theory: This track is iconic of the endless universe. Right from ES (my first game) through EL to ES2, this track has never failed to impress me. Each game takes on slightly different arrangements as per the game setting. Wonderfully composed!

4. From the Heart (Unfallen theme): To me, evokes images of patience, determination, an ancient connection to nature. Quite earthly music (although this is a game about space!). And that Bass Clarinet is dope and is further accentuated by the short quick harp solo in the middle. A true masterclass (which can be said for every song in this list though :P)

3. Forgotten Moon (Lost symphonies DLC): Quite new to the game, but that has not stopped me from listening to this on loop for a full day. Those drops littered all over this track - genius arrangement.

2. Driven by DNA (Cravers theme): Starts of slow with kicks like a heartbeat signifying new birth. But that feeling does not last for long when the synth starts playing, giving this track a sense of urgency - giving it a be quick or die feel. Also, for some reason, I felt this entire track had some undertones of sadness to it. Listened to this OVER, and OVER, .. and OVER.

1. Across the Rift (Riftborn theme): Words cannot describe this to the fullest. Melancholy, desperation, hope all bundled into one great track. Those clock ticking noises in the background that constantly increase in speed were a nice touch - the faction that manipulates time is quickly running out of it. Brilliant!

I love the main music of the United Federation.  I don't know the names of the pieces.  How do I find out?

I agree with most off these picks. 

Across the Rift probably undisputable number one, but despite the other great tracks I just can't go without the Time of Change, Vaulter-Theme. It is just connected with to many memories from EL and will probably always be in my favorites.
