In pathfinders trailer we could hear that heretic wanted to destroy all life accross the galaxy, but in game quests we could not see his evil plans. So in game he is a good guy, much better than sience side. Why is he so strange? Where is genocide of a galactic size? How he wanted to make his plans come true?

and  Can any of you describe hero Kinete Muldaur withiut mask? Is she a religeous fanatic? I want to know more about her. Maybe you have some scetches of her face or something like that? Is she a good person?

I'm pretty sure the leader of the Academy is a genocidal maniac, seeing how he plans to rip out the Dust from the galaxy and every living being augmented by it.

To put it into perspective... imagine if Angela Merkel decided to gas all the Germans to make up for the atrocities of WW2.

Then again, there does seem to be a shadowy entity, perhaps a surviving Lost,  who keeps whispering into the ears of Academy heroes. I'm willing to bet anything that "it"  nudged Isyander on this horrible path.

As for Kinete, she's only branded as "Religious" for gameplay reasons. She was once fiercely loyal and devolted to the ideals the Academy represented, but noped on out when she found out Isyander's true intentions.

What I find strange is how if you win the academy quest you don't get massive fidsi reductions on a galactic scale due to dust being stripped away. How does that work then?

I think that has more to do with game mechanics rather than lore.

i believe that the dust extraction that the Heretic employs, isn't as lethal as he first thought that it was, also afterwards you see those four "eyes" appearing in the nightsky, which are supposed to be the eyes of the Lost, but I mostly think that those are the all of the Lost, namely "Auriga", "Koyasi" and two more unknown celestial bodies.

I also vaguely recall Slowhands mentioning that a successful activation of all the lodestones is just the first step to the return of the Lost. So the effect that it has on the galaxy doesn't happen immediately. But I could be wrong, it's been a while since I've played and longer since I went Rejuvinator.

He did say that (I'm pretty sure)

I've gone through nearly all the Endless Space 2 art that I can find online (i.e Artstation, the wiki's and even in-game itself) and I have yet to see Kinete Muldaur's face without her mask. I would assume she looks like an average human being underneath the mask.

Her religious fanaticism actually comes from her being one of the original 6 or 7 founders of the Academy; remember this thread you created a while back where Slowhands responded to it ? Well this is what he said in regard to Kinete Muldaur

Also, for info, Kinete and Bruno were among the slaves that were freed when Isyander rebelled; they have been following him ever since and are among the half-dozen beings that have been involved in the Academy since the site was found and the first buildings constructed.

Her being a Religiously oriented hero is not just for gameplay's sake, but mainly because of her background, as one of the founding members of the Academy, a pseudo-religious organization that practically worships the Lost and is governed by the Heretic, Isyander Shaiad, who is sharing his suit or his essence/life/soul with the Lost, religion has played, quite possibly, the largest role in her extremely long lifespan. So even though she cut ties with the Academy, since she doesn't agree with the thought of possibly committing the mass murder of hundreds of billions, she is still deeply religious.

As for the Heretic's quest, the Academy Quest, should you choose and complete the Rejuvenator side of the quest, heavily implies that the Lost will return (in the form of most of the Dust returning to the Lodestones and then being used to either restore the remaining Lost, Auriga/Koyasil/Isyanders Lost/and the fourth unknown one, or somehow bring them back to the galaxy, either through reviving them or if they're in another galaxy the attracting them back with the sheer amount of raw dust), however, this will either be saved for a DLC pack or more likely, Endless Space 3. Afterall, it would be pretty bummy if you were to complete the Academy Quest and then BAM, all your people die and the game ends because practically the entire galaxy was sapped of life.

I wouldn't think of his plans as "evil", he's more "Chaotic Neutral", were he wants to atone for the sins of the Endless by restoring the beings that existed before them, and his methods, are eliminating "billions of unfortunate souls" who, in all fairness to the Heretic, will eventually die anyway, and to no cause other than their own. Think of it like he's serving a higher power, quite literally. Also, it's important to note that the Heretic, is not just Isyander Shaiad, but also the Lost being that resides with him (whether it be in the suit or as some sort of spiritual force is still to be debated, as the Vodyani comic doesn't clear this up) and so that being, is probably trying to restore the damage done to his species, whatever the cost.

Isn't the new Galvran hero also talking to herself/this Lost entity? She only started doing that after attending the academy.
