has it improved?  I want to start a normal speed game with my friend but I dont want to get to the end of the game and have issues.  I dont mind the occasional desync (it has happened twice to us so far on a face paced game first was at turn 85 and the second was at turn 98 or so.  We both stopped playing about a year ago when after release we could never finish a MP game. Sucks getting to past halfway and to not be able to finish. Love the game though!!!!

We play it often at two or three players since months.

It works pretty help.

Desyncs sometimes happen for all kinds of reasons that will not matter and self correct over time.  Just only resync if you or your buddy cant act (use a hero point ect) but generally you should be able to finish the enitre thing.  We run  6 player normal speed games a month that are desync free (they happen, but they usually fix themselves).  So basically, if your buddy can't put a point in a hero, or finish a tech, reset the desync, otherwise, ignore and play you will be fine.
