A "Gulag" for the Horatio? What Do You Do When You Conquer the Horatio? Am I the Only One?

Reply
I let them live (and allow those scum to mess up my senate's balance of power).
I blow them up, it's a necessary sacrifice for the Galaxy.
I starve/atomise/enslave them where they are.
I look around my empire for the most *sterile* system, and "resettle" them.
Conquer the Horatio? Ridiculous! I AM Horatio! #MGBA (Make the Galaxy Beautiful Again)

After countless of hours playing ES2, I always find myself at war with the Horatio.

It's natural since they're so expansionists and for some reason those bastards always get their hands on the Academy...

and 2/3 of the unique planets.

Usually after conquering a species' planet, I look at the population,

and move them around my Empire where they're the more useful while also moving in some of my population to the new system

celebrating multi-culturalism under my iron fist.

Yet, when I end up conquering those Horatio...

In the first system I see all the planets filled with only Horatio,

And I'm like, okay that's a lot of Horatio!

Then I conquer the second, and see the same thing,

And I'm like, yeah those guys are prolific.

Then the third, the same thing.

Then the fourth, the same thing.

Then the fifth...

Then the sixth...

And I realize, OMFG this is a cancer!1!

So, I set up a special system for them, and upgrade their original system to the highest level so I can move them more easily.

It's very humane, I swear! I mean, it's not a gulag unless you rename the system to " gulag ", right?

I'm not a monster, you know.

I call it " forced vacation ", and rename their new home system " The Beach ".

I send them to "The Beach ", very nice, uh?

"But, why are all the planets on the Beach sterile?" you ask me.

Well, it's for their safety, you don't want them to get sick, or eaten by some wild animal, no?

"But, where's all the food?"

Well, the Horatio, with their superior genetic make up, have conquered hunger so they don't need to eat.

"Those planets are too cold, too hot, too toxic for the Horatio!"

Half of the population of the Empire lives on a too cold, too hot, too toxic planet and they manage just fine, look at my approval rating!

So, what do you think of my solution? Am I deluded? A genius? An hypocrite? Or something else?

I must admit I was really intrigued by your system named ''The Beach'' when I discovered it nearby my own system called ''The Farm''...I'm glad to see that geniuses can really meet one another sometimes in this cold and harsh galaxy BibleThump

We eat them.

Just decolonize their systems (deleting their pops) and re-colonize them right after. (with another colony ship)

Ah, yes, "The Farm" in the sector "Up State", right? That's where my parents sent my first dog when it got sick. How is it doing up there?

Honestly, from what you've told me, it sounds like your galaxy just needs more Horatio.

Are you a representative of the Soylent Green/Penitential/Funeral Industry lobby?

@grandsome, recycling really is good for the environment! Plus, the more diverse your population, the less likely of the instance of cannibalism. Just saying!
