My friend and I play a game a week typically. We both love this game and spend hours a day hitting that turn button.  We have both wished you could watch your allies battles if they allow it. Is this a feature that you would like?  It also allows you to do something when your done with your turn and your friend is in a battle. Thoughts?

Yes, if for no other reason than it gives YOU something to do while your buddy watches a space battle unfold as opposed to twiddling your thumbs.

Yes, definitely. Being able to watch how their battles went will give important tactical info about the state of their army, as well as the threat posed by your enemies... Plus, you know, it gives you something to do.

I would be more intrested an anti-spoiler feature to prevent me seeing the results on campaign map whenever a friend watches his battle.

Generally yes, but why limit it to allies? So long as the player in combat has to give permission/send invites I see no reason why it should be dependent on being in an alliance.

I agree with this 100%. I just wanted to make it clear people couldnt take advantage of this and use it to spy on their enemies.

Hi,

Sadly the cost to make this work in-game is too great for the resources we currently have.

Sadly, thats what I was afraid of. Thank you for the response though.  Sometimes in your head you think something would be easy to develop but in reality its not that simple.

Actually seeing the combat happen? No, not really. However, if in your sight, I think you can make an arugment that we should be able to see the outcomes, yes sure. Maybe even an in progress sign above the ships, so that if you click it you can see who vs what and how many.

But in earnest, I would love they fix mp stability first before adding mp specific features that, as I see it, should not have priority.

ALT Tabbing a lot in MP seems to constantly create issues for me. But only as long as I am the host, is my impression.

But waiting for other ppls turns just makes me alt-tab, so I can't help it :)

Oh, while I am at it: Maybe make the ES2 tab in the taskbar flash when the new turn starts. Maybe a little windows beep too :)
