Just started a round of 1v1 with a friend. But not really sure what settings we should use. Trying it out as we set it, but curious if there is a "proper" 1v1 setting suggestion. Here are 3 screenshots showing what settings we are using right now, minus the Supremacy victory condition. I think a rush into the others homeworld and a sudden win would suck, though I don't know if you need complete ownership or not, a simple 1 turn invasion win would ruin such a 1v1 I think. And next time I could also tune down with the map size, maybe 6 player map. Wanted a larger one so the game is not about spamming and rushing the enemy, in theory at least. This feels too big.

Anyone with ideas or experienced with this can suggest to tweak these settings.

Perhaps it's worth a try to choose the galaxy shape: twin galaxy. I could imagine it's nice for a 1 vs 1 game. Why? You'll see.

start with the default and see how it feels.  If you're both picking factions that really suffer or benefit from certain settings, you'll know what needs changing.
