Crossover Events with other Big Games?

Has there ever been any thoughts to expand ES2's reach with a fun crossover event of sorts with another game?

Say Final Fantasy XIV, where Amplitude can put Hydaelyn in ES2 matches as a unique world with some fun FFXIV-esque quests, and in return FFXIV can say add a Vaulter and/or UE and/or Craver (???) outfit!

Just something fun to better advertise the game and help other games out?

Maybe I'm just daydreaming but still.

That would be an odd genre mix. As Square Enix owns Final fantasy and Sega owns Amplitude A collab is much less likely to happen. Plus, for this example it would probably get vetoed by the lore keepers (or whatever name they like to go by)

If a collab is to happen it would probably with another Sega studio or an independent one.

The Warhammer IP, while licensed by Creative Assembly for Total War: Warhammer, doesn't belong to them, which is an important nuance.

True, but FFXIV is currently gearing up for a rather big crossover with Monster Hunter, which is owned by Capcom. Granted, Monster Hunter and FFXIV have a lot more in common than FFXIV and Endless Space, but it's not entirely in the realm of impossibilities.

And the lore of FFXIV could sort of fit with some of the Endless Space lore.

But you're not wrong.

I would rather keep Endless Lore as far away from Square Enix as possible. Next thing you know, the Artwork for Exotic Rations will be replaced with Cup O'Noodles™ . It's a slippery slope.

A crossover between Endless Space ans Legends with Panzer Dragoon (owned by Sega)

Basically the player discovers that the Endless race is also the "Ancients" from the Panzer Dragoon lore.

And then you can ride drakkens!

Maybe not a crossover but an endless legend themed total war game would be great!!!, its one of my dreams, and the endless legend universe has all the tools neccesary to make one happen.

1. Several races which means lots of potential for DLCs and sequels, i think that there are 12 factions if im not mistaken ?

2.  both studios work for sega

3.  large universe with lots of lore

As cool as the idea sounds, as an avid Total War player, I would not want CA to create the game for a number of persistent issues that they have chosen not to fix in their previous titles. It's unfortunate b/c I love the style of Total War games, but seeing them possibly mess up an Endless Universe game would bother me, to say the least.

But, if Amplitude made a Total War styled Endless Legend game, I would be more than stoked.

I agree with Suis3i here. While I love the TW games, there have always been some issues with them (for exxample with the UI, and the camera and unit controls in battle), but for the longest time I was willing to look past that. I was not terribly happy about the way they handled the DLC for Rome 2, as I felt Greek city states should be a core faction for the game and some other groups could have been better suited to the DLC. This got even worse with Total War: Warhammer, where they turned the Warriors of Chaos, the quintessential bad guy of the Warhammer universe, into a DLC faction.

Maybe they had legitimate reasons for that, but it still felt like a slap in hte face for long-time Warhammer fans.
