I haven't played for ages so no idea if it's a change but I think the way the side panel on the technologies screen stays open and then gets covered by the details of a technology when you hover over one is confusing, especially since the tech details are all different heights and are anchored at the bottom so the top of the tech details could be anywhere, height-wise. Plus you get the sidebar showing through underneath it so the text crashes together. 

There's no reason for the sidebar to be open when you have hovered over a technology. I would suggest when you hover over a tech: remove the sidebar and put the tech info on the side but anchored at the top left of the screen.

I notice actually that this same thing happens on all the other screens too. It's really unattractive in my opinion and a terrible design choice.
