Terraforming, ruined?

Completely new to this forum, so apologies if this isn't thr right place for the topic, but....

I'd been thoroughly enjoying ES2 since about Dec 17 when I was introduced to it, and basically couldn't get enough free time away from work to enjoy it.

The amazing races, the multiple victory paths, and the gorgeous rendering of space battles and planets. Just loved it.

I purchased all the DLC, and eventually the Vaulters expansion and truly enjoyed myself.

One of my favorite things, was the ability to find systems and slowly work terraforming magic upon them. I'm a builder by nature, and this was one of favorite things to do over time.

But since purchasing the Supremacy Expansion (which I'm worrying may have been a misstake) I've played a few games, and noticed that I can't terraform Toxic planets at all, and the options for terraforming planets all seem to have mostly vanished. Such as being able to take a lava and slowly work it up to a Terran or Forest, etc.

While I'll admit, I'm not thrilled with the changes to the tech trees (removal of Endless techs) and the apparent desire of the development team to turn the game into what basically appears to be a simple "nuke the other planets" game, and skip the rest, what has taken a huge joy out the game for me is the lack of terrforming.

I'm honestly trying to figure out, if this is maybe just an error in the coding with the new expansion....or if someone seriously thought just taking the ability of players to expand, search out new systems, and build them into interesting and gorgeous systems.....was a good idea. Baffled.

Do you mean "removed" as in the options are literally gone or that you don't see other players (or the AI) using the conventional in-system terraforming and have instead opted for the Behemoths to terraform uncolonized planets before the planets are colonized?

If the options are gone then screenshots would be nice (and helpful) and perhaps report that to the Bug Reports section on the Forums so that the DEVs are made aware (if they weren't already).

Can you elaborate?

Ok, so then my game MUST be bugged. I'm going to uninstall, and re-install. Because I literally, have no option to terraform Toxic. Nothing. With all techs researched on Sandbox Fast just to test.

Will update.

Were you using any mod with the new expansion ? (supremacy) Some of them were / are not updated for the new dlc and are not compatible, I've seen some weird bug when using them.

If so, it's worth to test without any mod and check wether mods have been update.

An update to my prevous post, my game WAS definately bugged.

No, I wasn't using any MODs (still madly obsessed with Achievements, which I'm assuming you can't do in a MOD) but the game had zero terraforming options for Toxic, Arid, etc.

I completely uninstalled, re-downloaded in full. I now appear to have all terraforming back (Only had time for one short test tonight, but I'm presuming all will be normal from here)

Thank you to the folks whom replied comfirming it WAS in fact still in the game, which alerted me to my game being corrupted.

Yeah apart from purely aesthetical mods, you can't get achievements with mods. I like to try mods, that's my excuse for not unlocking much achievements. ^^

I'm up over 70% of all Achievments now. And actually, I have to give props to the Devs, because unlike a lot of games where the Achievments are just kind of lame and pointless, the vast majority of ES2 Achievements seem to be aimed at encouraging you to know all the races, and try for all victory conditions. In effect, making you a more well rounded player.

I'm positive my MOD addiction days will come too, and everyone whom suggested the game to me, has raved about the modding community, and the devs supportive nature towards that community.
