Hi there, I'm new here and in the games (I discovered the whole francise during the last free weekend a couple months ago) so sorry if someone already has this covered up, but as far as I could search, no one ever asked this (or it's deep buried into the forums).

As a fan of the first Endess Space, I do enjoy seeing the cinematics (I would like to interact a litte into those new cinematics, since in ES1 you could change something like targeting and battle cards, but still). I look at them most of the times. But here's where the issue is.

Is there a way to skip the whole "press spacebar or click to start battle", after you chose the battle tactic and the position of ships into the flottillas? I really don't understand why, after clicked on "start battle", I should press another key to just start the cinematic (although that's the only thing you can do, you cannot cancel the fight to return to map or whatsoever).

I thank everyone who will read this, even to tell me there is another thread covering this, or to close the whole post for that double post reason. Have a nice time in the space.

I agree.

First of all, I personally like the way it is, because that way I can start the battle and watch the cinematic after I went fetching a coffee or tea from the kitchen. On the other hand I totally agree that the double step makes less sense if you don t play as unhurriedly as I do.

Can't you just wait to hit Start Battle?

I could, but on the galaxy screen I always feel like I got smth to do. Not so on the loading screen of a battle. I know it is nonsense, but that s how I play ES2. :)

And as I said I totally agree, that it wouldn t hurt to implement the option to autostart battles.
