Hello!

I own basic ES2 game and wanted to play some DLC content while there's a free weekend. After starting the game I noticed that DLC content are still locked. Then I logged into another Steam account with no ES2 owned. It downloaded me the OST on startup (notable bonus compared to first account, huh) but DLCs are still locked.

I used to play different games through free weekends and they provided access to all content. The question is this policy intended or some bug like that no one can own ES1 through G2G Steam account linking?

If I'm not mistaken, only base games were part of promotion during past free weekends in case of "Endless" series.

If you are new to these games, this isn't that big of a deal, they all are already content-rich enough.

As Sublustris has already mentioned, only the base games of Endless Space 2, Endless Legend, and Dungeon of the Endless are free for this promotion.

However, if you want to try out the DLC, I would recommend you try to join a friendly multiplayer game, as all players can access the DLC the host has enabled for that game.

Yeah, I was gonna say, with how the Endless games are you have pretty much a weekend to eat all the pies available at a giant pie shop. If you're gonna gorge on them while they're free, you probably won't have room left in your stomach for the special ones behind a locked case. The Endless games have a pretty fitting name considering.

I enjoyed that pie analogy more than I should have!

That's great, but, for example, Supremacy being a rather controversial DLC it would be nice to be able to check out its content and make a final decision.

To continue with pie analogy, I would be bummed to learn that the locked pies I paid to access are made with ingredients I'm allergic to.
