Not a modder but I'm curious if there is the ability to implement a mod that allows the Academy faction to be playable. Awakening is cool and all, but honestly, if a large portion of the DLC consists of the new Academy faction, and that faction is locked off from players, and is relegated to basically a mildly overpowered AI Empire, it makes the DLC a lot more lackluster. 

If it is possible via mods, are there any modders currently working on it?
