Siege canceled because ally accepts peace

One thing that seems totally broken to me is how when you siege your ally just can accept a peace offer and your whole operation is forfeit.

It is not just frustrating to lose all that manpower to the voice, but it also feels very buggy. No communication, no offer to leave alliance or have a say in that.

The best part is when that ally not even is involved and has just camped on the other side of the galaxy. Out of nowhere: Invasion canceled.

It is for that reason I do not join alliances and it feels wrong.

However, what is annoying when you refrain form joining an alliance to avoid this behavior is the constant spam of alliance offers. You cannot just have peace without them constantly bugging you. The other 4x games are doing this way better.

An old problem of alliances in this game,

Your allies can impose you a war or a peace you don't want.

They do not ask if you are agree.

Asking if you are agree could be done, for example, by a vote between allies, and for each decision that impact all the alliance.

I mean war, or peace, but also a new ally in the alliance (and this point could be usefull to limit the size of alliances)... an why not a decision to exclude a member of the alliance... lot of things could be done...

Well, I really thought after all the many DLCs _someone_ at Amtplitude would have recognized the issue and add a mini fix.

I mean, it would already be enough if that orange fullscreen "warning" dialogue is used to ask "Your ally made peace with your current enemy X, do you want to leave the alliance and keep fighting the war?"

Yea, I agree. Thats good and simple Idea to implement. I also liked when some time ago, someone suggested system where alliance should be based on votes on such things as war, with implementation of mechanic where your senate parties would determine influence cost for such things.

Example:

Alliance of 2 pacifist and lets say 1 ecologist team would have rather big influnce cost to declare war.
