So I just completed my first game with the Nakalim and found a few....oddities lets say.

First was in regards to contributions to the academy. During Isyander's 2nd round of request, he was asking for antimatter. Well fuck, i thought, I dont have any. oh well! So I ignored it, occasionally gifting the odd system or two. THen out of curiosity, I decided to see what the percentages were so I opened dialogue with the academy. Let me reiterate, at this point I did not even have the ability to collect antimatter as I did not have the tech for it. So imagine my surprise when I discovered I was in the lead with more than 200 antimater contributed....that I did not have. Dafaque? I thought surely it counted systems I had gifted that had antimatter on them but there was only 1. There is no way that value should’ve been that high. So I won without doing anything. Is this intended, and if so what.....am I missing?? How is this calculated?

On another note, i’d like to report inconsistency with UI regarding Tithes. I noticed that gifted systems will tithe its strategics/luxuries (displayed on UI) but systems with both strategics AND luxuries will only display one or the other and sometimes flip flop what it displays. Just want to confirm that I should be getting both or no? 

I think gifting a system to the Academy is supposed to credit towards the auction regardless of the "actual" resources you have access to, based on the fandom.com (Wikia) wiki and my memory.

As Voidnovice says, systems you gift during the Academy during a contribution phase will grant you contribution to that request.
