Title. I may have missed the update but I don't recall ever seeing any more news on this.

Will come at some point with what I hope is a balance patch.

It's been 2 more months now, has this been scrapped? 

Probably will come in the next patch(es), if Amplitude haven't forgot about it. They kinda like to make promisses that they strugle to deliver.

I get the impression Humankind is a lot more work than they thought.

They kind of knew what they were getting into. They said Humankind was their goal all along and the Endless series was basically to practice their talents. This is their first published game so they have a lot more money and a lot more at stake.

Well, gameplay videos show very polished and well-thought product, but they only showcased like 10-15% of the content planned for complete game. To me even 2021 sounds like a daunting deadline at this point.

To be fair, from gameplay videos it is evident that game design in Humankind is closer to Endless games, then it is to Civ games. Only the setting is different. First impression will quickly go away, once you concentrate on details.

If you argue that every 4x game with a historical setting only copies civ, you are right. I won't argue that civ isn't successful or a bad game (I really enjoyed playing the part V), but I think it is a little bit overrated at times. While Civ certainly is a benchmark for this area it doesn't make other games automatically simple copies in my opinion.

Thanks for all the responses. Pretty much assuming we aren't ever getting this as I've just seen the final patch update. Disappointing.

It was the final patch of this cycle of patches, not the final patch ever. The pug is still coming, and so is the tech tree lore pass.

Thank you, that is very good to know! I am assuming the Nakalim comic is also going to be out at some point in the future maybe together with the pug and tech tree lore pass?

It`t good to know that there is coming more, so I think see communication was a bit unclear.
