I've Beta'd with G2G before.  I came on because got an add to join the beta in Humankind.  But it wants my Steam account to be linked to do so, and it seems to want my Steam password to do that?!?!  Sorry, but if that is correct, I don't think so.  That's going waaaaaaay to far.  

+1 Been a fan of everything Amplitude ever made and played the shit out of it, but no way i'm THAT eager to test it out ... :/ 

It redeems the steam key for you, nothing shady going on.

I understand your concern about the Steam Link but as others mentioned above, you are putting your password directly on Steam, we don't have access to it.

We are using the Steam api and it's just performing a connection between Steam and us. When you log on Steam, the Steam api only give us public data such as your Steam id, your Steam avatar and your Steam name. We also know which Amplitude games you have (and only them since we have a publisher key), that's how we can unlock you the corresponding badges on G2G.

That steam connection allow us to push the game directly on your Steam library when you redeem it.

All secure data (password and email) belongs to Steam, we can't get it :)
