Is it better to develop the system before colonizing all the planets ?

Good evening. I have two planets with two bars of dust that I can colonize as a Vaulter, but I put some dust system improvements in the queue. Which one is better usually, colonizing the planets first or improve the system?

No, you should colonize it as soon as you reach planet overpopulation threshold. Many of the improvements scale of your population count.

Also, as long as the planet doesn't have too many downsides, it's generally a good idea to colonise earlier anyway. Unless the first planet is so good that splitting the pops with another one would lower the output of the system. But yeah, most of the time? The more the merrier :)

Oh.... that's why i ended up being broke 3+ hours in... because a couple of planets where full of pops and of improvements ?
