People, the Sophons and Riftborns are near to my systems but their descriptions say they are pacifists. Do they attack the player?

Yes. Althought their AI is prone to be busy with their business, they will go aggressive on you over border friction, if peace agreement won't be concluded in time.

For the wisdom of the Endless! There is a Riftborn planet right next to my main system! By turn 20, the Riftborn started an advanced outpost below my system and I said:

- I demand, you Riftborn, to remove your outpost next to my system.

- We won't do that. We Riftborn need this system for our advance.

I didn't attack them because I read they were "Pacifists" and I was thinking to make a peace agreement with them later on and that they would never attack me if I didn't initiated the assault.

If they get aggressive, does it mean I must make a peace pact with them? at least, I know where the Sophons, Riftborn and Vodyani main systems are.

How many allies can I have ?
