Can i play without steam?

Steam is ok , but is hitting on my nerves when i cant play more than one game at the same time, myself or because my kids want to play her game.

So is there a way?

You could try to start Steam offline and play Endless Space 2 offline. Feedback appreciated.

Make a shortcut to Endless Space 2 or download Playnite/GoG Galaxy.
Take the PC offline (IE, kill the internet).
Start the game.
This will make Steam start, but then realize it can't connect to the internet.
Tell it to start without internet.
Enjoy.

Isn't it more easy to simply log in to Steam and to choose the second option ("go offline") when left clicking on "Steam" to the upper left corner?

If I'm not mistaken, "Going Offline" from Steam still keeps Steam connected to the internet, just not visible to friends and not running Updates/Downloads. It would still notice two computers attempting to access the same account.

Interesting, what interpretation of "offline" Steam company would have this case. Did anyone check it out, yet? Guess I'll test it by interest tomorrow, if anybody else does.

Going offline on the friends list is different from going offline on steam. Going offline on steam lets someone else play your games.

Ah, ok. I missed the point in case of Romeos post. Going offline on friends list is not what I offered as solution. So OPs issue should be solved, if he/she follows my description.
