i remember from a previous dev stream that the devs themselves are unsure about whether the argosy is a retcon of the  dungeon of the endless ship Success  or being entirely different mezari ships. This could be a pretty major thing, for if you see them as 2 entirely different ships, then that brings up the possibility of a Second faction from endless legend making it into space, like the factions are forced underground by the eternal winter, and one finds the wreckage of the Success, repairing it and eventually leaving the planet, finding another planet and beginning their life as a spacefaring civilization.

So if that is the case, what faction would you want to make it off the planet and why would it be the drakken?

As far as I remember the Drakken canonically already left on the Grey Owl (old Hissho ship). But I'm not entirely sure here. Anyways, that ship blew up shortly after leaving Auriga and opened the Rift, which brought the Riftborn into the Endless cosmos.

actually i believe it was the cultist that tried to leave on the grey owl,  since with the vaulters they are the only other base game faction to have a alternate version of the last part of the quest victory, the mykara did get their own version, but they werent around until 2019 in the last expansion to date.

so it really is possible for the drakken to still be able to get off the planet, theres still hope for more endless legend content to come to es2.

so lets say that the drakken did make it off, what drakken heroes would accompany them on the voyage, for every es2 expansion that add major factions, only 4 heroes are added for that faction. with a 5th hero being part of the minor faction that comes with them.

im thinking Researcher namkang is a obvious, being the only drakken to have her own unique design and style, and by her name would make a good scientific drakken.

nachampassesa would be perfect for the second hero, being the drakkens starting hero in e.l but his bio wouldnt make him the starting hero for es2.

jiraduveja's bio would make him the perfect militarist hero for the drakken.

semsanitnwona would make for a good pacifist hero and probably the starting hero as well since the drakken are definitely pacifists.

for the minor faction that comes along, i think it should be the nidya, they are implied to have a distant connection to the hissho, possibly even tracing their roots back to the survivors of the grey owl.

Pretty much all factions could get out one way or the other, few fallen ships weren't the only way for escape. Vaulter that stayed behind still managed to escape.

Don't make your hopes high, ES2 is pretty much done at this point.

indeed the chances are low, but i wont count es2 out yet, i believe tempest was expected to be the last dlc for E.L back in 2016, however 2 years later in 2018, we got inferno and then symbiosis in 2019. and with humankind and endless dungeon being the apparent main focus for the new few years, we wont see a es3 for a while, meaning we still may see at least 1 or 2 major expansions for es2 as well. Its a low chance, but there is still a chance.

So you have statistical data set of 1. That doesn't really means anything, things changed.
