It's a level 1 Pirate Lair but I just want to know what I'm getting into.

It depends on your Denuvo level. If you bought latest-version Denuvo, there won't be much pirates initially, but they will still appear after a short while. Then you realize you blew all your Dust for nothing and your population started to leave your empire, and pirates were never an issue to begin with.

Infantry utilize 5 manpower so 60 x 5 = 300 manpower defense. Your ships, depending on size and quantity in orbit, will siege the lair every turn and reduce their manpower they have available to fight. Being that Pirates have Infantry, it’s advisable that you get Tanks(tier 2 Military) and crush them. Manpower modules on ships also help when invading since you can deploy more forces.
