Hi guys Is there any way I can change my custom faction's portrait? Just the visual portrait and nothing else. It breaks immersion whenever I make custom faction using existing factions. Any response is appreciated you guys. Thanks

Yes but it is a lot of work, you can set portraits to custom static images, or the animated portraits of heroes, however, you have to do this via modding in a custom visual affinity (which is a LOT of work)

Is it really? I was under the impression that since Im just changing the picture and nothing else it could be simplier. I mean I can use in game minor faction portraits and wont have to import custom portrait outside game.

How do I do that? I am currently testing the ES2 Custom Hero Designer V2 that I saw on steam. I am trying to make a custom faction. it can make a mod file which contains an image of a custom hero I made, but it uses an address rather than an "affinity".

Example:

Faction: <AffinityMapping Name="AffinityMappingUnfallen" />

Custom hero: <Icon Size="Medium" Path="Gui/MakhalclamMedium" />

Also. Is there a way to modify and add files to the game with software? (like asset studio? I know that software is made for extracting rather than modifying. It is an example.) I would love to add custom voice lines.
