Hi all !

Considering the success of the Arcane series (from League of Legends) on Netflix (if you haven't seen it, I recommend it!), I wondered if it might not be a good idea to have there , one day, a series on a universe that I love, the Endless!

I think a series on Endless Space can be really fun to watch.

What do you think about this?

And what would you wish for this series? (Endless Space?, Endless Legend?, .., with drawn characters or real actors? With a lot or little FX?)

Would love to see more Endless stuff, it would be interesting to see it done with practical effects, but that's a budget and a half, so best bet would be animated series. I know that most of the iconic races are mostly humanoid, but there are some essential for the right feeling of the world that would need a lot of effects to be showed right, Amoeba, Harmony, Cravers - having all of the show animated, rather than being that weird, uncanny valley flavour of half-and-half, with real people talking to CGI, would just be better, I think.

And deep in my heart I know that the most important thing about Endless series is that it would open a gate for sitcom spin-off about Raian, Craver, Sophon, Hissho and Horatio living together in a suburban house due to clerical error, with Lumeris landlord and Kalgeros-Pilgrim couple as meditation-obsessed neighbours. Bonus points if at the end of the season we learn that Horatio was Prime all along, who got bored of petty infighting.

Hah I started playing Endless Space 2 very recently (Humankind was my first introduction to Amplitude and the 4x genre, really) and with all the lore it has I also thought a series about Endless Space would be neat. Idk how feasible it is since the timeline spans eons and there is no canon version on what really happened (according to the devs every playthrough is canon so). I don't know how likely it'd be for a studio to be interested in the rights to the Endless Universe, probably not very likely but we still can daydream lol

more Endless content is very welcome, but Netflix adaptations have a habit of being bad and failing to understand Franchises to the point its been memed, so maybe not have a Netflix adaptation for the Endless Universe.

Yeah I don't think Amplitude would want to work with Netflix either since they (Netflix) are known for being very aggressive when it comes to creators retaining their IP and autorship rights pushing borderline abusive deals, and I believe that Amplitude would want to keep a close look on how the Endless Universe is adapted (if it EVER were to happen) and be involved in the process.

I feel this would be a great boost when Amplitude releases its next Endless Space game.
If they do it now it would only promote Endless Space 2 which is in its final days and not help Amplitude make a lot of money since.
If Amplitude waited till they released Endless Space 3 a movie or seires adaptation would be a massive sales boost.

I too would love to see a movie or seires based on the Endless Space universe.

The Endless Dungeon is coming, it will also bring its own cast of unique characters, I could see that one being turned into short series. I don't think it has any chance of actually happening, though.
