Is there any chance of there being a third title on this series, I only discovered it a little over a year ago, but really enjoy it. I'd love another, it's a shame they're "done with it" and the modding community is relatively small :/

Does anyone have solid reasons or hope for another? The art style etc are fantastic. 

But a third installment could improve a handful of things like diplomacy and AI etc. 

They will, at some point.

But to me, ES2 major factions were so well done thematically, that I don't want their replacement in next installment. Sophons, Cravers, UE, Horatio and Vaulters are probably safe, being iconic and all at this point. Hissho likely too. But Lumeris, Vodyani, Riftborn, Unfallen (especially at risk being community created faction) and Umbral Choir were such great additions, that new game won't feel true without them in major role. Sorry, Nakalim, you weren't unique enough.

I think Vodyani will be a fixture in the Endless Unvierse, they are a crucial part of the overarching franchise plot.

Honestly would love to see something like Endless Space 3, but judging by the way Amplitude is going, its seems more likely that they are going to focus more on Humankind and leave the Endless Space franchise in the dust.
