Hi!

I recently got into ES2, and it is an amazing game. I am having quite some fun playing with UE and trying out different win conditions. I have gone trough 3 + tutorial.

When I was reading up what is ES2, it sounded like a normal game goes about 3-5 hours. But I am playing them for 10 or even more. What gives? All empire management, ship management etc. takes a lot of time. How do people ramp up the speed :D everthing automated? I tried that last game, and the AI was using up all my antimatter. So i had to take back the control.

How do you manage guys?

btw, im playing without DLC

Also medium galaxy size, 6 competitors and normal difficulty and fastest game speed.

Thanks!

Mostly by building longer queues. You just shift your scope to grander goal and focus accordingly. I don't think you are playing too long, just not yet familiar to perform some things casually. And it's not a bad thing, unless you are into pressing turn button.

DLCs add even more to things to do (Behemoths, hacking, more quests), and some factions are more micro-intensive then other, like Cravers or Horatio.
