Why does the AI instantly start purging sleepers when no cause was given to alert them that they have sleepers?

Why does the AI attempt to communicate with you when they do not have the required stealth detection to notice that you exist?

When you are unknown to the AI and they colonize one of your sanctuaries, why do they all of sudden know that you are there and start demanding that you remove your colonies outside their influence zone?

One of the appeals of the Umbral Choir was that I thought I could avoid the AI Diplomatic spam, messages and alliance requests if I played 100% invisible to them. But this is not the case, the spam comes regardless, whether they have seen you or not.
