Well I have high hopes. It looks great. I love the planet/system intros etc.
Some annoyances:
-Forced truce. Why?! I lost a system to the cravers and just as I had built a force to go and take it back I was wacked with forced truce meaning I had to pay 68 per turn. It bankrupt my empire forcing sale of most improvements... who is enforcing this truce? Why do I have to accept it?! It happened again later when I was winning the war this time and as I was waiting for my manpower to built up on one fleet while another was sat guarding an enemy system to keep enemy ships at bay and another forced truce hit me. Whats more is I could not use the star lanes to escape the system once the truce had been forced because of no open borders....
-Bug or misunderstanding? I can't seem to use luxury resources anwhere. I know that on endless legend you just click on the resource and it applies it but it doesnt seem to work here.
-The technology screen seems messy and hard to follow.
-Im not too keen on the ship design. It's pretty unclear as to what the module symbols all mean and I dont really feel like there are many options to customise anyway. I want to take pride in designing a great ship so I actually care if it gets destroyed in battle. Perhaps this is just my preference but I would like to see less ships but of more intricate design/customisations so I really care for it/them.
Please, please, please add an option to use system production to repair ships in hanger. Why would I spend 500 on repairing my ship when I can just build another in 1 turn? It seems rather imbalanced. This annoyed me in ES1 as well.
I lost my game to an empire I never really had any intereaction with. They won a score victory in the end but dont the other AI care about losing?! Why dont the other gang up and attack the winning empire? I had to fight my way past the cravers to get to their systems and thanks to the forced truces I couldnt get to them in time.
-Allow shifting manpower between ships. If I have 12 ship all at 50% man power after an invasion. Why wait for all of them to fill up when I can just take 6 of them (full) to invade the next system(s).
-A 'follow ship' camera on the battle screen. Although the cinematic mode is very nice, during a battle I want to know how its going and watching the enemy fleet from my fleet's angle would be helpful. I like the info mode that shows the ships HP but when too zoomed out from the enemy and at the wrong angle on friendly ships you cant see that info really. Perhaps an option to see that info in a table format also?
This is only from my first game so I may have many more suggestions to come.
Keep up the great work I think this could be an awesome game!
Thanks for your reply. |I reaslised this on my second game where I researched the tech that allowed this :) It kinda leads on to my point that the tech tree is not progressive.
