Hey guys,

First of all a big thank you to everyone at Amplitude for all their hard work. The love and care that's been put into Endless Space 2 really shows. I don't think it'd be appropriate to make a separate thread for each tiny thing here so I'll put them all here for now and formalise them separately upon request.

One cinematic touch I greatly appreciate in the new game is the planet overview upon discovering a new system. It looks great and shows at a glance some points of interest. However, the text is sometimes obscured by the lighting effects, like so: Example 1, Example 2 (possible spoiler).

I'm sure this could be fixed by a semi-transparent highlight behind the text, or a tweak of those lighting or camera settings, but I thought it was something important to mention since the rest of the game's presentation is so great.

Is it possible to abandon one of your own star systems? The Sophons (!) declared war on me shortly after first contact. Thankfully I'd built up a half-decent military, but before the forced truce kicked in (a topic covered in other threads) I'd captured several of their colonies. This resulted in some nasty expansion disapproval, and in turn some crippling maluses on resource production. As soon as the truce ended I was going bankrupt. Without the ability to leave some of my colonies, my best ones were stripped of important improvements by budget cuts. The Sophons ended up just edging me out in score by game's end. In future I'll know to accommodate for possible acquisitions but it'd be nice to get back the option to pull out of systems I can't maintain.

Lastly is a minor concern, but I'm not sure if it makes much sense for this event to be triggered on this planet!
