So playing the cravers is fun although they are abit overpowered but there is a small problem with them and that problem is small factions they rebel and get really annoying  and just standing there and letting them rebel is pretty anticraver if you askme so i thought that this might be a good idea to balance that out and add some lore flavor.

Basically the cravers get a tech 2 building exclusive to them called "processing plant" what the processing plant would do is that it would act similar to a 3d plant lasting an infinite amount of turns but it would consume noncraver pops basically every x amount of turns the noncraver pop would get purged producing a huuuge amount of food this food would only allow the growing of craver pops ofc, lorewise the cravers basically eat those rebel pops boosting their grow and it allows to deal with rebel pops on a craver way.

So what do you think ?

I've always thought that non Craver pop should be consumed somehow, and the way you propose it to work seems fitting.

Craver gameplay would be way more immersive for me if:

1) They can consume other pop in their empire to boost growth.

2) The process of depleting a planet was visible.

3) They start the game with no minor faction in their homeplanet, unless they can consume it right away.

4) The don't receive a happiness penalty if you support the majority in the senate.

Yeah the whole process thing has been asked since ES1 i hope they added is weird that you deplete a planet and it looks perfectly fine, right now the vodyani feel more craver than the cravers as for the happiness penalty i think it should be kept to balance things out and from a lore perspective makes sense minor factions wont like the idea of being part of the craver hive and whats the craver going to do ? well eat them.

Also, starting the game with noncraver factions seems really weird to me well for any faction to be honest.

Would just like to say that I really support the fact that there should be a visual indicator for how depleted a planet is. It would add so much to the game that you can just see these hollow dead husks of worlds left in the wake of the Cravers by over exploitation.

I also agree that the vodyani are more interesting than the cravers for a similar reason. They have a truly unique playstyle. Everything lore wise about the Cravers is not really reflected in their current play style.

Could be small things even. Like consuming alien pops would increase happiness for X turns. Or do it like the vodyani, and have it like an extra race specific ressource that can then do things when a threshold have been reached.
