Multiple techs per turn

I was playing around with numbers a little bit and noticed an interesting thing: it is impossible to research multiple techs per turn.


It's not generally a problem one is likely to encounter often in this game, but I had a similar situation in an EL game I had going, with my empire producing some 16k  (Era VI science tech helps with that, and so does playing Vaulters) and techs only requiring some 3.5k... and only getting one per turn. That is a lot of science wasted!


I don't know what are the exact plans for further Eras, whether there will be a +100%  tech like in EL, but it would be nice if the system allowed me to research as many techs as I can each turn.

the surplus is actually carried to the next research i think.

It is, yes, but it's always less than 100% of the research cost, so producing massive amounts of excess  does not mean getting 100% utilisation like it did in .
