Quaestions about info on UI

Hi,


Two questions about info displayed on UI.


First one, in this screenshot there's a circle under Ukdah and hydrus systems (the orange one, inside the white circle). What is this telling us?



In this two screenshots, first you can see my econ screen with my trade routes incomes, and second the enhaced galaxy view with numbers under systems, apparntly related to trade:



As you can see the numbers doesn't correspond, and are even different in magnitude. My question, is what exactly are we seeing in enhaced view info? And what is this for?

Circles is manpower ?

It means you're loosing or winning manpower in this system. Zoom on the system, you will see better if you're loosing or winning manpower there.


I have no idea for the other one.

My best guess is the following:

They show a base system trade output that is directly related to the output of the system (meaning they scale with the system output). The Trade HQ income is the sum of the income of the trade routes that go from the HQ to each subsidiary + a bonus for HQ level + a bonus for the number of trade ships and a final modification based on efficiency. 


The income of each trade route depends on the base system trade output for each system on the route (and for each neighbor system along the route). But these trade outputs for the individual systems do not simply enter 1 to 1 they are modified by different factors.  These factors are (again guesswork based on game files, GDD and in-game observations):

  • Is the system on the route or a neighbor system of the route.
  • How far away is the system from the HQ system.
  • Does the system have a Trade HQ or a Trade Subsidiary. 

So the purpose is to help you chose good locations for trade HQ's and subsidiaries. But it lacks the information regarding how the above factors play into the resulting total income so it is certainly not perfect.


But I am looking forward to a developer giving a less guesswork laden answer because I am curios to how far off I am :P

Checked and the system was losing manpower.


About trade routes I never suspected that the info on enhaced view would be influenced by all that things to convert this no-more.than 10 dust per system in hundreds per route.

It becomes more clear when you monitor the screen continuously starting with the first trade route established. The magnifications by the factors is not as big then, but who knows maybe I am totally off the mark with my guesses. I have not been able to replicate the total income numbers even when there is only one HQ and one Subsidiary.

It's something I'll probably test in the next update, as I seen there's also the market, and imo will be time to start testing economy.
