Hi everyone, so I'm very curious as to the intention behind the Craver, I understand them as the initial cut-scene does a good job of introducing them, in a very easy to understand form.

What I want to touch on is this;

On this one planet system there are 7 pops, all of which are Craver(s).

"They gave us one purpose; to destroy planets."

I can understand that, it's pretty concise; but I choose to officially support the default Craver government type, and the Craver pops are upset with this? I thought they just want to consume, kill, plunder.

So anyway, I don't want to assume anything; is this just a consequence of early-access? If so, what can we, the players and community expect from the Craver faction, as well as their gameplay dynamic and aesthetic as we edge closer to release?

Please and thank you for information.

Yes please, I mostly play Cravers, and the current political frolicking and market games simply make no sense.

Also, why Husk is a forest planet now? Was arid always.

Also, what the f**** are Kelgaros doing on Craver homeworld? Vacation to get some tan?

Also, please move "Righteous Fury" and "Mass Happiness" to Cravers instead of Religious party, where they belong.

Thank you.

What you are experiencing is the Dictatorship government mechanic. It's not tied to the Cravers but affects every faction which have a dictatorship (so far only the Cravers but you can change your government type- sophon dictatorship is possible).

In a dictatorship there are no elections. You choose your dominant political ideology on election day and get maximum support but no support for the other ideologies. Then there is an approval hit applied depending on the ideology opinion of your people. So for example if you install a military ideology in an overall scientific interested populance then the approval hit will be more servere as if you installed the scientific ideology. So you Cravers (like mine in my first game) will also be interrested in industry and to a minor degree also science and religion (because of the starting minor faction). The approval hit is applied on an empire basis meaning every system will get the same malus (or even bonus but this never happened to me).

The problem so far is, that the Cravers aren't eating their slaves at the moment. So the minor factions keep growing and keep influencing your overall ideology diversity. If this is implemented at least for a Craver Dictatorship it shouldn't be as servere.

Just an update with some experimenting:

I tested the advanced actions to influence elections (Round-UP and PROPAGANDA for the dictatorship). These really helped. I was able to push the overall approval hit to -5 and even got +10 approval on some systems. Round-Up was the way to go. Still it would help if the Cravers would actually eat the other factions. Guess we have to wait till implementation.

Yeah perhpas something like this. From what I gather it is not implemented yet and it seems as the intent is, that the other factions are slowly eaten while being hard working slaves. So it seems as it should be a passiv mechanic instead of an active one. I would like to see the idea Amplitude has first.
