Heya,

i played a bit of Endless Space2 again, after the Update came out, and YAY its so much fun, but realy, a barren Planet with Garden Eden? And i had tons of other Stuff, i know, its funny, but its still annoying as it is just wrong...

and it should be possible restrict certain anomalys to certain Planettyps, shouldnt it?

MFG

Hello,

We're working on the generator to be able to add constraints on anomaly in order to avoid specific planet type / anomaly. It should be in the next update!

Cheers,

Cheers,

As you should not have two... anomalies which contradict each other. xD (single moon and double moon... just makes no sense)

I originally thought the same about the moons, but having double on that anomaly just allows the planet to have 3 or 4 moons, instead of 1 or 2. Not the most intuitive way to do it, but i would be fine with it as long as the (+x with explored moon/moons) multiplied for having multiple moons.

After reading both posts, I think fixing this is as easy as changing the flavor text, as long as calculations are done the way pax368 is expecting.

But what about a planet that is both Moonless and has two moons? (Yes, I had one like that).

I'm just a little bit disappointed that the devs hadn't spotted the problem coming from five miles away, given that the exact same thing was happening in . Gas giants with Tree of Life or Molten Core? Sure thing!

I had a Gas Giant with a Hollow Core which was also a unintuitive. As part of their roadmap they have said they would like to add those restrictions, and also several people have pointed out the way the planets work does not follow the original GDD and they have even wish listed a proposal by someone else about having the Cold/Hot and Dry/Wet more of a matrix as proposed in the original GDD instead of the one or the other system as it is now.

I agree that things like Garden of Eden should only be on Tier 0 or Tier 1 planets just flavor wise, but there is a lot of things yet to be implemented and that will change the balance on so many things that it is hard to judge.

My favorite from Endless Space 1 was the Tree of Worlds spawning on a Lava Planet, or the Soil Summoner on a Gas Planet.  Another good find was finding something like Humeris Insidentes or Rich Soil on Asteroids.

I just recently had a Colonization Event in ES1 where I found the remains of a civilization that died off in an ancient war.  Oddly enough, the planet also had Friendly Locals, so I am assuming they were actually of the undead variety. Nice fellows at least ...

Maybe there were two civilisations, or maybe the current locals arose in the dead one's wake? Of most oddities this one is at least straightforward to explain...
