This has bothered me a ton.  If I select a fleet, there is no way to see how many turns it will take to move to somewhere until after I issue the movement order and it's already to late to change.  This needs to be changed and is pretty basic functionality for most 4X games.

It works perfectly in Age of Wonders 3.  When you have an army (fleet) selected and move your move over different locations, it shows the movement path immediately along with the tick mark indicators for how many turns it takes.  AoW3 goes a step further and makes the line GREEN for where you can move in the current turn and makes it white (or maybe red?) for the portion of movement that will occur on future turns.  Works perfectly.  ES2 needs this badly.

You can press and hold the right mouse button on where you want the fleet to go and you will see how long it will take without actually issuing the order. To abort move the cursor to empty space until the route is deselecting and release the button. Not ideal but it works.
