I start my second United Empire for the MWNL event. I start a new game with same parameters but including a mod about balanced fights.The first game was strictly "Amplitude design" and I noticed the sophons were saying the always same unbearable sentence "your action will only make the war more painfull".
I thought it was a random defect when I tickle them.
But In that new game I have the same behavior : the Sophons drool like ignorant !
Is that a feature of a recent patch "correction" or a may it be correctable ?

The quote “your actions will only make war more painful” aka the Triumverates response to what was probably an aggressive act on your part (i.e. you blockaded a system, settled a world on their border, attacked them, traspassed, etc) which led to them probably being hostile/aggressive, is not a bug but just one of their threats. I couldn’t see how the Sophon AI is being stupid/ignorant too, unless your empire is vastly more powerful, though this probably isn’t the case based on how they reacted to you.
This has been in the game for a while now, though I’m not sure if them repeating it x amount of times in a row has.

I mean there are still saying the unique sentence I mentionned. It's related to our diplomatic state as I trickle them often but they have no other replicas than this one, always the same. I remember the sophons more versatile in my first games.

I just started a new game , with the Cravers this time. And you know what ? The Sophons are still and continuously REHASHING that same "your action will only make the war more painfull'. I can feel the great care that is brought to the dialogues and how our advices are usefull as we make our voices heard.
(I understand how the studio takes the time to beg for money on twitch playing PUBG.)
There are several things to address in your message here:
1 Feel free to talk to us in French. We will always answer a message addressed to us in French, and will simply translate the question and answer in English for the benefit of the rest of our community. That's one of the perks that being French allows.
2 There should be prerequisites in place to prevent the game from spamming you with the same message over and over again. There are various messages depending on the diplomatic state of the faction relative to yours, but they are limited in numbers, and unless the diplomatic state changes, they're likely to react in the same way to the same actions--there are only so many responses in the game. It is possible that the values are faulty in this, in which case I would recommend opening a bug report and joining your save : https://www.games2gether.com/endless-space-2/forums/114-bug-reports
3 Finally, we did take part in the Chicken For Charity tournament on Friday. As the name may have shown, the purpose of this event was to raise money for an association that helps gamers in a situation of disability, so that they can once again get the joy of playing games. You may not agree with the principle of a charity fundraiser, but there's nothing we can do about this.
- Je suis bien heureux de lire que je peux m'exprimer en français, car quand je me suis inscrit sur ce site j'ai d'abord lu que la langue anglaise était de mise sur le forum sauf dans la partie spécifique au français dans laquelle mes publications ont reçues bien peu d'échos perdus au milieu de l'immensité du vide sidéral.
- C'est tout de même dommage que je sois obligé d'être piquant pour obtenir une réponse. Ce fut déjà le cas dans la partie FR l'an passé. Vous êtes un studio Français, que vous souhaitiez etre "international" ou que vous ayez" une majorité de clients en anglais" (cf twitch hier soir) ne devrait pas impliquer que vous délaissiez totalement vos compatriotes. Je ne pense pas être le seul français parmi vos utilisateurs. D'ailleurs, on est en droit de se dire que votre com "tout en anglais" fait certainement fuir une partie des français qui comme moi peinent, mais n'ont pas ma résilience et abandonnent de suite. Du coup c'est un peu le serpent qui se mord la queue...
Enfin, bref, ce n'est pas la sujet, on en débâtera ailleurs si l'occasion se présente (mais puisqu'il semble que j'ai réussit a accrocher une oreille, j'en profite pour le dire).
- Concernant mon sujet des Sophons annonçant sans cesse la même phrase à chaque tour ou presque. Je veux bien poster dans la partie Bug mais je ne pense pas qu'il s'agisse d'un bug. Comme l'a rappelé Suis3i ci dessus, ce sont leurs interactions diplomatiques en réponse a une "agression". De fait, je ne leur passe rien et je pose des embargos sur leurs planètes pour les affaiblir et refuse de les retirer entre 2 déclarations de guerre ou pour freiner leur expansion. Il est donc "normal" qu'ils réagissent. Ce qui ne va pas c'est qu'ils me sortent tout le temps la même phrase, il n'y a pas de diversité dans les communications (il n'y a pas de "so many response")et leur fréquence est élevée. Ce qui fait qu'au bout d'un moment ca devient lassant et ca détruit le plaisir du jeu. Comme j'ai tenté de le dire en Anglais googlesque, Il me semble que mes 1eres parties au tout début du jeu (donc juin ou juillet 2017 pour moi) ne montraient pas ces ânonnements agaçants. Je me souviens même que l'une de mes 1eres impressions fut que la diversité des échanges et des interactions etait vraiment conséquente dans ES2. Donc je me demande si ce déséquilibre n'aurait pas été le fait d'une mise à jour qui aurait déséquilibré cet aspect. Ou bien ce serait un aspect codé volontairement de la sorte et dans ce cas, il pourrait être intéressant de l'améliorer.
De nombreux cas particuliers diplomatiques existent (accessibles dans les XML de loc du jeu, mais il faut fouiller), cependant, chacun n'a toujours eu qu'une seule ligne de dialogue écrit (les lignes de dialogue audio sont encore moins nombreuses) depuis le début du jeu. C'est quelque chose de très onéreux en termes de coûts de production, non pas à cause de la programmation nécessaire, mais des besoins en localisation (une fois la ligne écrite, il faut la traduire dans chacune des langues dans laquelle le jeu est disponible). Le jeu bénéficierait sans aucun doute de plus de variété à ce niveau, mais cet ajout est loin d'être prioritaire par rapport à d'autres améliorations.
