So this is a feature of the tooltips that was in Endless Legend, but is so far missing from ES2. When there is a bonus or penalty to system approval for a set number of turns, the number of turns remaining is not shown in the tooltip. If it came from an event, you can see turns remaining by going to the events list in the Quests and Events screen. But it would be nice to see turns remaining in the tooltip too.

And for the 20 turn approval bonus from Endless Research Park and Endless World, there is actually no way to tell how many turns are remaining after you have built the wonder. At least, there should be an entry for "Built Endless Research Park and Endless World" in the events list to show turns remaining.

The idea is good, has a point and all, and I will be happy to see it implemented.

I just find it sort of surprising that an idea, ignoring the ideas system with certain amount of points gets a dev response within 5 days. While there are actual ideas out there with higher community support based on G2G points that yet somehow remain overlooked for half a year or more.

I obviously have very little idea what am I talking about, but I wonder what message does that send to the community and all.
Would you say this is the best way to go about getting a dev response nowadays?

You're 100% right with that, koxsos. Ideas as a feature are a great concept that is, perhaps, a victim of its own success: every month, over a hundred popular ideas get posted and upvoted, and while responding to each isn't necessarily time-consuming, it can be easy to let it slide by the wayside in favor of more pressing matters, such as addressing game design concerns or fixing bugs. That's why you'll find our team more regularly on the forums than on the Ideas section, and why every once in a while they'll grab something that belong in Ideas in passing, and answer that.

This shouldn't discourage you from posting and upvoting Ideas, and from periodically reminding even well-meaning devs to take a look at the Ideas section more regularly, as I've just done. They did look apologetic and said they'd do it more often, so boom, net victory for Ideas.

If I could semi-hijack this thread with a related issue: Could we maybe also in some way see happiness over 100%? Such as "Current happiness 100% (128%)".

Especially with the "New colony" law, there currently are quite a few temporary happiness boosters, and it would be nice to be able to quickly see to what level the system will drop in the long run.

I aprove of that hijack, YertyL. It's something I've wanted too.

Another approval related question: how exactly does approval work on a newly conquered system? Is there a point to building approval buildings right away, or is there a maximum approval based on the system ownership? (If I build a building that increases approval by 10, but system ownership is 1%, does the dissapproval from ownership just increase by 10)? Maybe the tooltip could clarify that a little better.

From what I observed ownership penalty equals whatever positive approval there is decreasing in percentage according to ownership.

Good thing is, it does not seem to affect the empire approval. So just let them act out...

I know I've voiced this idea before! It would be a big help for understanding how much approval 'headroom' you have.
