Is there a way to reduce how many races can be in an alliance? I can’t seem to find anything in the game creation screen or in a Forum search.

It would be great to reduce the number of races that can be in a single alliance, I would prefer no more than three races in an alliance for 18 AI single player game.

Or is there a way to MOD this?

I believe it scales with number of players.

And there should not be more than half of competitors in an alliance.

Limiting the amount as a game parameter is a great idea and you should totally post it as such.
