Agreed - along with the corresponding stats about each planet type.

I would prefer something that gives more information at first glace like here:

This tells you at first glance hot/cold, sterile/fertile and orders by ammount of population available.

The addition of production output for each planned would be nice just like in the picture you presented.

I'm of the mind that an information-heavy game, especially a 4x-style one, should make efforts to make that info accessible in-game for easy reference.  When it's just a matter of charting publicly known facts that aren't supposed to be hidden from you, including an easy access is a great boon to the playerbase.  Since the game is supposed to be about making good choices, adapting your strategy and countering the opponent, memorization of stats that aren't immediately obvious should not be high up on the list of priority skills; being able to look up the info you need is a much more valuable ability.
