My favorite and first episode of Star Trek I ever saw was the episode with the Doomsday Machine. I've been fascinated with doomsday device type scenarios that are never supposed to be used. For Example, The Beast in Homeworld Cataclysm or the Doomsday Device in Star Trek. I suggest something along the lines of that wrecking havoc through space, something to give the player more of an, oh crap moment. Maybe have everyone have a cease fire until these doomsday scenarios are dealt with. Don't know if it's really possible to impliment something like that, but it would give more of a flavor to non-playing, non-minor faction neutral evil ai fleets. Something other than pirates.
