2 minor bugs I've noticed my first 80 Hours

I joined over the free weekend since i had played endless space 1 a while back and had a blast with it. I also ended up buying Endless Space 2 with all the DLC. Over the breif time I've been binging it I have encounter 2 bugs which haven't ruined matches but are extremely inconvient to have.

The first bug only happens when I play a single player game. When i fly a fleet into certain systems, I'm unable to click on them at all. This means i can't move them out of that system without cycling through inactive ships. Normally not a problem but in some cases I'll have a fleet defend a system, only to have it forever lost in that system never able to leave. I either have to scrap it from the military overview tab, or if it's a behemoth, it's lost for good and takes up a behemoth slot for my empire. Admitedly i haven't looked around for fixes online since most of the time against AI, losing a fleet this way doesn't matter but it's something that probably should be fixed nontheless.

The Second bug happens in multiplayer. This bug locks you out of any diplomancy, all offers become void and are never sent after the bug kicks in. From what I can tell it happens when a player counter-offers another player. Playing with friends we've been able to avoid it after noticing this, but we've had to reload a lobby more than once to a previous save to fix the diplomancy. In a full multiplayer lobby I can only imagine how tedious that would be. With this bug I did search online and saw a post from about a year ago on steam about this, and one of the devs responded saying that it was being worked on. So reposting the problem might be good in case it was forgotten while making other stuff for the game.

I really like ES2 and seeing these fixed would make playing it a smoother experience

I didn't try it before, but I went and loaded a save which had the issue and it was fixed. So reloading the auto-save would work too

I can confirm the existence of the second bug. There's even video evidence of it, and Panczasu/Pangolin_Advisor may still have a savegame from our multiplayer session.


That said, I would advise posting these bugs as separate threads in the bug reports section, with savegames attached if possible (though that may not help for bugs that clear themselves on relaod).

I reported and  uploaded a save game with the 2nd bug the other day. Hopefully it can be tracked down eventually. Was in a big MP game on a stream and it's frustrating to half to call it a night because half the players can no longer ever do diplomacy again. :)
